Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the pair met personally to publicize the upcoming boxing match.
Former two time world heavyweight champion Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I'm going to break his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Still, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial earnings.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As the two fighters met for the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is really going ahead.
